THE PROBLEM

There was a time when you played with joy, freedom, and confidence — when competing felt natural and mistakes rolled off your back. Now something has shifted.

Maybe you’re tensing up in the big moments instead of rising to them. Maybe you’re replaying mistakes long after the game is over. Maybe you’ve lost the joy that made you fall in love with your sport in the first place.

The talent is still in there. You just need help trusting it again.

WHAT CHANGES

Here’s what changes when you train the mental side.

01 Bounce back quickly from mistakes instead of spiraling
02 Play with confidence in high-pressure moments
03 Quiet your inner critic without fighting it
04 Reconnect with the joy and freedom that made you love your sport
05 See pressure as a challenge instead of a threat
06 Perform consistently — not just on good days
WHAT WE WORK ON
Negative self-talk Pre-game nerves Mistakes and slumps Confidence that doesn’t depend on results Focus under pressure Teammates and coaches Burnout Injury and return to play

Parents can also be included in the coaching process — through monthly check-in calls, joint sessions, or parent-only coaching.

THE SHORT ANSWER

What is mental performance coaching?

Mental performance coaching is one-on-one training in the mental skills competitive athletes use under pressure: confidence, focus, composure, and recovering from mistakes. It isn’t therapy. It’s skill work built around your sport and your challenges, and like any skill, it improves with practice.

PROOF

Here’s what athletes say.

“Andrew helped guide me through methods to deal with anxiety and pressure which contributed to positive effects of slowing the game down, performing better, and more enjoyment. He helped me shift my perspective — I am not identified based on my stats or performance, but who I am as a person.”

COLLEGE BASEBALL PLAYER

“Because of the help I received, I was able to overcome my performance anxiety and the mental blocks that held me back. I realized my mistakes don’t reflect how good I am — my response to them does. Now I play freely and without limits. It is so much more enjoyable.”

MEN’S COLLEGE SOCCER PLAYER

“Andrew really helped my mental game and helped me believe in myself again. We created an ‘Alter Ego’ to help me leave behind how I used to play and stop playing it safe. It freed me up to focus on being creative on the field.”

SECOND THOUGHTS

You might be thinking…

01 “The pressure is really intense. I don’t think anyone understands how high the expectations are.”

Higher stakes are exactly why the mental side matters more. The goal isn’t to lower the bar, it’s to build the tools to meet it with freedom instead of fear.

02 “I can’t help getting in my head. I’m not doing it on purpose.”

Nobody does it on purpose. Negative thoughts are normal, and even the best athletes have them. The goal isn’t to get rid of them, it’s to keep them from running the show.

03 “My coaches and teammates don’t really believe in this stuff.”

This work is for you, not for them. Let your play speak for itself, and share as much or as little about it as you like.

04 “I just need to practice more. If I improve, I’ll feel more confident.”

Preparation absolutely helps. But at higher levels, athletes are often close physically, and the mental side is what separates good days from bad ones. Training only the physical side leaves a big part of your game untrained.

05 “I’m not sure I’m ready to commit to coaching.”

That’s what the free discovery call is for. It’s a relaxed conversation about where you are and what might help, with no commitment.
